Lake Lanier Walleye Report: The Lanier Walleye population seems to be thriving well. We are catching some good size fish this summer and the bite should continue to get better as we head toward fall. We are catching Walleye on Blueback Herring and night crawlers early in the morning. After 10am or so we are switching to troling chartreuse crankbaits on leadcore line (8 colors 26ft) and downriggers 28ft. Be patient and keep the trolling speed to a minimum 2.5mph, The best spots to fish seem to be south lake points and humps close to deepwater timber. Goodluck! Wes Carlton Georgia Lake Fishing
