The water temps are sustained now and the Walleye are deep. Lake Lanier Walleye are hovering in about 38 to 50 ft of water. These fish will come up early in the morning to feed in the 30ft range. Try using night crawler harnesses and deep jigs tipped with medium crappie minnows. We have been catching some 4lbers the last couple of days. Lake Burton and Lake Rabun Walleye are not quite as deep. These fish are in the 28 to 40ft depths. Learning to read electronics (fish finder) is critical this time of year. The fish seem to be holding in certain locations well. If you are able to locate them they will typically hang around these locations for a couple of weeks. We have had the best success this week with Blueback herring. Georgia’s Walleye Fishing is getting better with each passing month due to the efforts of the fisheries dept. I look for it to get better and better each year. Join us for a guided Walleye Fishing Trip!
