Lake Burton Fishing ReportWater temp 74 degClarity. clearLevel. Full Pool The Bass bite has been strong for the last few weeks. We have caught fish shallow and deep. The majority of the Bass seem to be heading towards deeper water for a summer time pattern. These fish will feed early morning and late evening. Most of the Spotted Bass seem to be hanging on a 20 to 30ft bottom. We have caught most of our fish casting under spins tipped with flukes. Working long points seems to be the ticket right now. Spot stickers have also been producing some bigger fish. This pattern should continue for the next few weeks as we near late summer. TroutThe trout bite has been steady all week. We have caught some bigger fish in the last few days trolling Strike King deep divers. These fish seem to be spread out a bit. I have been focusing on the main lake channels trolling from Timpson Cove towards the dam. They seem to react to the brighter color lures.
